Hello and WElcome! I’m Dannika, Founder and Therapist at Mindful Footsteps Counselling.
I help Millennials and Gen Z navigate the messy, overwhelming, and fast-moving parts of modern life - anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, identity exploration, people-pleasing, career pressure, dating fatigue, and the constant feeling of needing to “have it all together.”
My approach to therapy is collaborative, down-to-earth, and genuine. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a clinical interrogation, while still giving you the tools to be successful inside and outside of therapy.
Whether you’re dealing with stress, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, ADHD-related challenges, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
I integrate evidence-based approaches with real-world practicality, helping clients build emotional insight, healthier coping strategies, stronger boundaries, and more fulfilling relationships. Together, we work toward meaningful change that actually fits your life, values, and goals.

A Free 15 Minute consult is offered as a chance to answer any questions you have about therapy and briefly review what your goals are and see if it’s a good fit to work together.
We work virtually across Ontario and Alberta.

Build it
During our first intake session, we will get to know one another, go over your intake form, your therapy goals and review approaches that may work for you.
Sessions are usually every two weeks to build on the previous session and keep you accountable.
Strengthen It
Throughout therapy, we will review your goals and ensure that the approach used it supporting you to reach them.
